The main reason I used maps.yahoo.com was to find the nearest wi-fi points, which is also my way to find Starbucks and hotels. Now the maps are all fancy but they don’t do the basic job I need done. Two steps back. Please bring back the wi-fi finder. Heck, it was even a revenue opportunity.
: Someone helpful from Yahoo left a comment teaching me to search for wi-fi at the location. It works. Thank you! (Now I’m merely surprised that Yahoo gave up the revenue opportunity of the old buttons.)

Jeff. Google’s got them now.
Just put word wifi in the “Find on the Map” box.
Try JiWire.com: they do proximity based results. They also have an offline downloadable hotspot directory that can be updated with new hotspots at will. (I’ve been working with JiWire on the editorial, not directory, side for over two years.)
Bring back the old YAHOO page format! I have been using YAHOO as my main explorer page, but am thinking of changing. The ‘new’ YAHOO page format is lousey! BRING BACK THE OLD YAHOO FORMAT – or to a another search engine I go! (at least give us a choice old or new, like Windows XP does)!
