The same gleefully wicked sense of humor. He's like the child who's just discovered how to shock and dismay adults in ways he never could when he was younger. Dave is the Trickster, the 21st century coyote, the post-Chuck Jones Bugs Bunny. He's Bugs liberated from Chuck's self-imposed morality.
