Hmm... the networks don't think they should change.. the public doesn't think they should change... wait, who exactly is telling the FCC that it should clamp down on television again?

I am in full agreement with you. I had a sense something was fishy when well over 99.9% of the indecency complaints filed came about via the PTC.

We don't even know whether the people who complained actually saw the offending material or if they are relying on the PTC's say-so.

There's a chance there isn't a real problem here, but I think there's a better chance that I'll get a date with the actress who stars in a prime-time series that usually has finished in the top two spots in its timeslot and will be back this coming autumn for another season. Can't say who she is (she reportedly has a boyfriend), but I will allow that a few years ago, she made a very favorable impression on me with a prompt apology to a two-timing jerk's girlfriend after she was placed in an awkward situation by said jerk.

(By the way - I came to your site via Austin Bay's blog.)

Since they're still pushing for restrictions on my political speech and kowtowing to the Islamicists, this is just MSM pushing for boobie-talk. It's not free-speech advocacy.

It's about time. Hopefully Jeff will be called in as a witness to explain how Brent Bozo, err Bozell and his internet complaint generator is skewing the number of actual vaild complaints received by the FCC.

It would have been nice that the media companies went after the FCC years ago so I wouldn't have to buy satellite to listen to Stern. Thank you Media companies for sitting on your asses taking it from the FCC.
