My dog stepped on my computer keys on my laptop and it turned my screen upside down. Can you tell me what to do to get my screen right side up?

Jeff,

I'm curious, did you get this resolved or at least find a workaround?

Any ideas?

Sounds to me like it is a video driver issue. Installing the monitor driver might help the video card communicate better with the monitor, and make sure you have an updated driver for the video card in the Mac.

Oh wait, this is a Mac, Mac's work perfectly out of the box with everything, including cute Japanese girls, I know, I saw it on a commercial. It must be a PBKAC error.

It looks like it is a flaw in OS X. Here is a solution (that doesn't really address the underlying issue): http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20051219081131927

Jeff, It's a Word flaw. Just re-start Word.

When I switch from PowerBook only to feeding my monitor, Word windows won't grow vertically beyond the PowerBook's resolution. After restarting Word, it's fine.

I've seen this with Viewsonics and others. Always thought it was a bug with Word on the mac. Does it happen in other apps?

I've been using computers (including Macs) for 15 years, and I've never installed drivers for a monitor.

An experiment: Make the Samsung the primary display and close the Powerbook (turning off its built in screen). Does the 215 still have the redraw problem?

As a general rule of thumb, it's a good idea to get the Mac driver for any third party accessory you buy to use with your Mac.
