Amanda Congdon launched her personal vlog today, shortly after launching her ABCNews.com vlog: A vlog in every pot, that’s her campaign promise. In the latest, she again tackles the Time cover and says that you are not person of the year, we are. She has advertising from Dove and equipment from Sony. She also insists: “This is not a television show. Please do not make Amanda mad by calling this TV.” It’s TV, Amanda. It’s TV. Nya-nya-nya. And it’s fun TV.
I do think it is coincidence that Amanda and former TV partner Andrew Baron announced new endeavors on the same day. As a friend and fan of both of them, I hope they use this opportunity to find ways to move past the past and get on with their exciting new ventures.
I see that you will be on tv this weekend (though I’ll watch Reliable Sources in itunes on Christmas eve rather than on CNN and not just so I can fast forward through the Rose v. The Donald segment)
“The YouTube Revolution
It was the year of consumer driven media – so says Time’s Person of the Year. Ana Marie Cox, the former Wonkette, and blogger Jeff Jarvis look at the blogosphere, YouTube, and the rise of online media. ”
I am curious what Alley Corps will turn out to be.
And you should ask Ana Marie why she didn’t write anything for the Time You issue. She was a bit more qualified to comment than Brian Williams.
Congdon is cool, she’s with it and she’s got the pulse of the times (if not Time magazine). And she’s right: it should have been called Time’s “We” Issue, not its “You” issue. But then Time has always had a “You” issue. You are right to be her fan. I am too.
