The amazing issue of the use of streamed video and the vast use in both desktop/laptop and handheld devices is we represent yet a small share of the full potential on the internet frontier. First hand, third generation platforms (3G) handhelds are the leading net using device. Although portable and user friendly they don't fair well for all video downloads outside of, you guessed it; apple applications. Second, and I know it is hard to believe that one over half the internet users globally are at dial up speed, the United States included. What is a good subject these days
is banning media. For example, China has led the way to ban U Tube and a lot of websites they feel inappropriate.. Vietnam followed the same
path as other countries concerned about freedom of speech. We remember the Iron Curtain, now we have a Broadband curtain being created. Is somebody missing the issue, you don't need high speed internet for propaganda... I use my etcha sketch for that media... it makes more sense that way. Enjoy the future of all media in a censorship free net environment and your own judgement being your personal guide to surfing.

What nonsense. People lie like rugs in surveys. Any survey of online video usage that doesn't place porn well ahead of any other video type viewed is bullshit.

So how will the net address access? Deaf people particularly.

Until now, the internet has provided a stream of access, almost an oasis to address equality. Whilst this surges forward for most people, its about to go backwards if there's not such a thing as widespread subtitling.

truly incredible news. I'm not sure what surprises me most.

Is it that "news stories are... the most frequently viewed video" or is it that no-one in the US watches porn?
