Steve,

Check out today's MediaGuardian 100 for the low-down on RM. Hope it's no problem publishing the link, whilst you're there you can check out this great regular column from a guy called Jeff Jarvis....

Why is Murdoch considered a tech-savvy publisher? Yes he bought MySpace, but MySpace really hasn't grown much under his ownership, in fact its probably lost ground to Facebook. Fox News and the NY Post both have awful Web sites - not even looking at the actual content. They don't allow comments, they're poorly designed, and they dont do multimedia very well. Yet Murdoch is hailed as a hero who will usher the newspaper biz into the future. For all its feet dragging, the NY Times seems to be doing a much better job than any of the News Corp. sites. So what's so great about Murdoch?
