		<description>Well the UK papers can take advantage of the huge US market with the internet, but that's low hanging fruit that a US paper can't really reciprocate.

It may not even be that much of an advantage.  The Guardian got this one correct (that US audiences would be interested).  They may get the next 20 stories wrong- right now the UK press seems to think that the Beckams in America is a big story- but Lohan's driving skills have knocked them off the airways-</description>

		<description>It actually kind of hints at a new idea: Peer to Peer investigating, a natural extension of blogs and, say, Wikipedia. Of course, with a larger and growing number of sources, there's a larger and growing number of BS to filter out. But something along these line maybe what, for instance, the YouTube debates need to keep the powers that be honest.
I would like to add though, that the part about "online tricks such as graphics, video and audio can give it a whole new lease of life" (Although it's the business I'm in), this seems a little FOX-newsish and, if anything, a step backwards.</description>

		<description>If one gives away the results of a five year investigation then how does one fund the next one?

Right now there is only one model that people consider - bring viewers to advertisers. How much more advertising can people be subjected to? We now have ads plastered on the floors in supermarkets. When do they start to lose their effectiveness?

I know that the subscription model has not worked out in general, but with zillions of entrepreneurs trying to develop the next big thing surely there are a few willing to look at how to develop alternative revenue ideas.</description>
