If Mrs. Borchert is unlike you, in not " just talking about it, but doing it." has yet to be proved.

If i remember correctly, the first announced launch date of westeins.de was sometime in spring of this year. It has be postponed a number of times and i'm not sure if the latest communicated launch date is Summer 2007 (which nobody i know believes in any longer) or sometime in October/ November.

E.g. he project blog that was established (i guess in order to show that they "get it" is more or less abandoned, the latest blog entry being over 2 month old).

IMHO at least they didn't get the "release early, release often" mantra that is driving the bigger part of the startups right now. For sure Mrs.Borchert and her team are oly partially to blame for this. Exisiting traditional media companies are just not prepared for doing so. And the WAZ-group is a very traditional media company in this sense

I'm fairly sure that westeins.de (when it finally launches) willl not live up to the hype that was generated by Mrs. Borchert and the WAZ-Group. They just overdone it. Even if they launch with a really innovative portal, i'm sure the most reactions will be: "What tok them so long?"

Just my 2cents
