She had just been accepted and Nick proclaimed that if she accepted it and went to Columbia - she would be spoiled. He wasn't looking for journalists. I find it interesting that the times have changed. Disclaimer: I always hated Gawker - I refuse to read it. Nothing against anyone personally - I'm just not one for unproductive and snarky writing.
