		<description>Having spent a fair amount of time with people on locked wards, I've known a lot of people who've committed suicide. 

Without knowing Mr. Tilley, I have to concur with the friend who said, â€œThereâ€™s no way you or I will know why he did this, but itâ€™s certainly not because of blogs.â€

When people think they know why someone committed suicide, they're invariably wrong. They've only noticed the item that tips the balance. 

Suicide is a analgesic. Life has become too painful to tolerate. Some people manage to muddle along for years by hiding in a bottle. For others, alcohol and drugs simply aren't effective. And others turn to sex or religion, which can be an opiates without legal penalties. 

But for many of us, there is no balm in Gilead. 

Pray for the deceased's family, that they may deal with their loss. Pray for those you know who are teetering on the edge. And pray that you may never find yourself there. You never know....</description>
