Poor Yahoo. It only goes from worse to worse. They might finally get rid of ineffectual Jerry Yang but then they might get Mark Cuban in the boardroom along with Carl Icahn’s slate. Cuban has an absolutely numbnutty plan to kill Google: Paying sites to drop out of the Google index.

Beyond numbnutty, it’s a non-starter. You have to wonder if Cuban ever thought it could work, or whether he is just simply firing a shot across the Yahoo bow that he knows will miss.

Why do so many people think money=intelligence? Cuban was only smart enough to know snake oil (Broadcast.com) when he founded it. Well, he was also smart enough to know his own company would eventually be so worthless that he and his partner–who at least has 1/2 a brain and probably TOLD him what to do–got rid of all their Yahoo! stock after they were paid in it before the tech crash. Notice how he’s not first in line with his checkbook on this one. Dancing With the Stars, anyone?
