[...] „Paper were things. [...]

Thanks for imparting your wisdom. Have you been to the Folger Library in Washington, DC to see the exhibition " Breaking News: Renaissance Journalism and the Birth of the Newspaper?"
It's on view until the end of January, clearly there's been a long evolution in the medium... Cheers. sSs

Jeff,

Would like to place blinders upon my eyes and not believe what I am reading, unfortunately I know this is the truth regarding the men and women that produce newspapers around the world.

I had planned to retire from my newspaper in a few short years, but this will be wishful thinking with the direction newspapers are aiming for.

The journalism industry already has its monument -- that $750-million Newsoleum in Washington or somewhere that nobody ever visits.

A fitting memorial. Massive, arrogant and in the end completely useless.
