Jeff, read that Wolcott post again carefully. Are you sure it’s entirely on the level? Pay particular attention to the hilarious deliberate use of cliches.
Even if Wolcott were on the level, how hard is it to denounce a commercial that features an outright lie that almost everyone is already running away from?
Anyway, it reads more like a tongue-in-cheek excuse to reprint the Pirro article in its entirety, allowing him to pass along a childish gotcha story while pretending not to be utterly childish himself.
But in the spirit of good friendship and cooperation, I’ll mention that there’s a small typo in the first paragraph: There’s no reason why Jeff Jarvis should the only roving ambassador of peace I think is supposed to be There’s no reason why Jeff Jarvis should be the only roving ambassador of peace.
